Jellyfish

This jellyfish appears quite active due to the shaped silver wires and beautifully random white enamel contributing to the movement of the jellyfish. The transluscent body is created through the application of opalescent enamel - which is a bit tricky in that the temperature and time in kiln has to be watched carefully for the desired result. The lovely blues in the background were achieved through the application of three different blue vitreous enamels on fine silver. The piece was then set in textured fine silver with 5mm opal accent in silver tube setting.
