Water Lily

The design is created by shaping fine silver wires which are carefully placed upon a fired enamel surface. The next step is for  forvitreous enamel to be placed with the cloisonne cells. This step is repeated anywhere from 6 to 15 times depending on the height of the cloisonne wires and complexity of the design. The piece is then placed in a setting custom made to enhance the feel and design of the enameling. In this case the fine silver setting was textured and oxidized fine silver and accented with a pink topaz in a silver tube setting.
